Tashkent Modernism app
The Tashkent Modernism application, developed by order of the Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art is based on the results of work of Laboratorio Permanente and will combine 21 buildings of the modernist era into an online route. The application is aimed at residents of Tashkent and city tourists who would like to meet for the first time or learn more about the legendary buildings that define the architectural appearance of the city.
The route is suitable for tourists and city explorers of any age and level of knowledge about architecture. Thanks to the GPS navigation application will determine the user's geolocation and offer to start the route from the nearest point. Acquaintance with architectural masterpieces will take place on pages with current and archival photographs of buildings, as well as texts about their history and architectural features, based on extensive research materials collected by the Foundation team and architectural researcher Boris Chukhovich.
In addition to pages with detailed information about each building, the application will allow you to see the route on an interactive map, as well as familiarise yourself with historical material even for those who are far from Tashkent.
Thanks to its simple and user-friendly interface, Tashkent Modernism will be an excellent assistant for those who want to get acquainted with the architecture of modernism and learn more about iconic objects in the capital of Uzbekistan.
